Where can i serve?

 Mission & Outreach

Cornerstone Christian Fellowship is thrilled to be part of spreading God’s kingdom around the world and in our own community. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. From Our Daily Bread, which is to supply the physical needs of others in times of hardship, to providing and serving Salvation Army Dinners, taking care of the needy in our community is engrained in who we are.  The Care Team is also a big part of Cornerstone, reaching out to our visitors, and also members as well.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Pro. 19:17 Mercy to the needy is a loan to God, and God pays back those loans in full.

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Usher Ministry

The mission of the Ushers is to help direct people into fellowship with Christ by allowing the Holy Spirit to flow without interruptions.  The Ushers help the service flow smoothly by assisting with the offering, helping with the Prayer Line in times of ministry and keeping distractions to a minimum so that people can hear the word and be ministered to fully.

Proverbs 11:25 The generous prosper and are satisfied; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Altar Ministry

The goal of the Altar Ministry is to meet the needs of others through prayer and encouragement. It is comforting to know that there are people available to support you in prayer no matter what that need is. Plus it is such a blessing for those who God has called to this ministry to know that they have been used to bring comfort to a hurting brother or sister in Christ. This is a very confidential ministry because of sensitive issues that may be discussed. Those who are involved have gone through the Covenant Class and become members of Cornerstone and must be approved by the Pastor.
2 Cor. 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week, prayer warriors receive emails with prayer requests from our members, needs that need addressed, and issues that affect our community and world.
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, Luke 18:1

The Bible and Salvation
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. The product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit and we accept it as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (2Tim. 3:16; 1 Thes. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21) All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  There is none righteous, no not one.  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. (Romans 5:14;3:10; 3:23; 1 John 3:8) Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men and, when fulfilled, produces eternal life. (2 Cor. 7:10; 1 John 5:12; John 3:3-5)
The Mission AT Cornerstone
is to fulfill Luke 4:18 & 19 in this regional area. We are His hands extended, to preach the Gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, to recover the sight to the blind, to set at liberty those that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord!
The Vision AT Cornerstone
is to provide a Spirit Filled, Full Gospel, present truth-teaching, contemporary worshiping, caring, and friendly church in this region. To reach out to the unchurched and unsaved, with a desire to produce strong Christian families who will reproduce themselves and become effective, productive members of the community and the Body of Christ.

How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.
ELEMENT, OUR Student MinistrY, meets every Wednesday evening @ 7PM – 8:30 PM!  We hang out before service, engage in icebreaker games, but most of all, are taught how to use God’s Word in our daily lives!  This is the sole reason we are here!  But in the midst of all that we develop great friendships, experience life together, go on outings together, have opportunities to go on mission trips and just have fun together!
Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Classic Christian Friends group @ Cornerstone provides refreshment, ministry, and staying active through Christ.
DIVAS (divinely Inspired Victorious & Serving) gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. From serving in our community to having Mother-Daughter Teas to providing funeral dinners for our church family when they lose a loved one to having nights out with the girls… We strive to strengthen one another in love, and serve each other and our community with the Love of Christ.
the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5
Bridge Group
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of our church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.
Iron Men – Men’s group

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. The goal of Ironmen Men’s Ministry is to sharpen men to transform their world! The vision of this ministry is to see the men of the church take their rightful place as head of their homes and families.  The men are equipped, empowered, and ready to engage their world through discipleship from the Word of God specifically designed for men’s issues & topics. This will lead to healthier churches, more godly workplaces and stronger communities.

Pro. 27:17  Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. They will learn a story from God’s Word, a memory verse and how to apply each to their daily lives.  Each teacher is carefully screened and trained in children’s instruction.
On Wednesday Night, the kids go a little deeper into the Word of God.  This year we are going to focus on the books of the bible, what they mean, and how the Bible fits together, while keeping it fun and interactive.
